The Challenge

A patient is medically fit to travel by commercial air but, due to their condition or injuries, must remain lying down throughout the flight.

Not every airline or aircraft can accommodate a stretcher, availability may be limited and medical clearance will be required. The patient may also need a medical escort, specialist ground transportation and carefully timed transfers between each stage of the journey.
